My paintings are based on photographic images, either found or taken personally, which reference mainly spiritualism, mysticism or science fiction. Working with several painting processes, the images are multiplied, distorted, or overlapped with other images - all transformations that contribute to removing them from their original context so that their meaning, or narrative, is made somewhat ambiguous.  Much like science fiction the resulting paintings can be viewed with the familiarity of real world places or events along with the disorientation that comes with the act of discovery.
